Jet Cleaner TANKO-MX
8.2 Faults and Remedial Action
Fault
Cause
Remedy
Cleaning head and/or nozzle carrier not rotating or rotating unevenly.
– There is no media pressure on the device. – Pressure of the cleaning agent too low. – Pressure of the cleaning agent too high. – Excessive friction due to wear on the bushings and/or bearings. – Actuator unit in the device damaged or contaminated with deposits or foreign bodies. The teeth of the spur gears jam. – The cleaning head collides with installed components. – Nozzles are blocked mechanically by interfering contours. – Nozzle jet too close to surrounding components. Due to high media pressure (recoil). – Filter or nozzles blocked. – Nozzles soiled or blocked. – Pressure of the cleaning agent too low.
– Open the shut-off valve for the medium. – Increase the pressure (adhere to the max. permitted pressure).
– Reduce the pressure.
– Check the bushings and/or bearings for wear, clean or replace them. – Clean the inside of the device and remove any foreign bodies. – Replace the spur gears. – Eradicate the interfering contours. – Check the position in the container.
– Increase the distance to surrounding components.
– Clean the filter or nozzles. – Clean or replace the nozzles. – Increase the pressure (adhere to the max. permitted pressure). – Increase the volume flow rate – Clean or replace the filter. – Retrofit jet concentrators.
Effectiveness of cleaning is inadequate.
– Volume flow rate too low.
– Filter blocked.
– No jet concentrators in the nozzles.
Jet pattern not ideal.
– Nozzles soiled.
– Clean the nozzles. – Replace the nozzles – Replace the seal.
– Nozzles damaged.
Process or media connection leaking.
– Seal faulty.
– Check the tightening torque values of the screw connections. – Replace the bushings or bearings.
– Connections have come loose.
Volume flow rate too high.
– Increased leakage due to heavily worn bushings or bearings.
