Efficient, Paperless Data Recording with the Digital Process Recorder (DPR)
Sani-Matic's DPR is helping food & beverage processors go digital with a paperless, cloud-based data recording software option for Clean-In-Place (CIP), Clean-Out-of-Place (COP), and Process applications. Two product tiers of the DPR family are available – Charts and Reports. The Charts tier includes interactive data storage and comment/review functions, along with live dashboard views, email & text notifications, and more. The Reports tier takes a “running signal” from the process and organizes the data into discrete reports, allowing for easier review of report-based data.

Calculating Static Spray Ball Flow Requirements for Process Tanks
Use the following calculation to figure out the approximate flow rate needed for cleaning process tanks and equipment:
A minimum flow rate of 3 gpm for every foot of tank circumference is required to produce sufficient turbulent flow to cascade CIP solution down the tank sidewall.

FDA Anticipates Shifts in 2024 Food Safety Regulations
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is likely to pay more attention to chemical risks, allergen thresholds and enforcement of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) in 2024.
The recent "extremely high" levels of lead in certain applesauce products is a driving factor behind the focus on chemical risks.
Also discussed are the bakery industry challenges with the new sesame seed allergen addition, and a continued enforcement of FSMA.
